DISCOUNTS AND CREDITS:
The above pricing does not reflect any discounts. Come enjoy the CP Dance experience once, and get a 5% discount on every additional 2025 spring contest registration. The Early Bird Discount of 10% will be applied to all of your spring registrations and must be paid by December 1, 2024 or the discount will be removed. You may continue to add/make adjustments via your CP contest registration account until 4 weeks prior to the event. Please note that pre-season events are not eligible for either discount.

REFUNDS:
Full Refunds will not be issued after the Final Add / Drop Deadline for each contest location. Cancellations may be granted on a case-by-case basis. Any credit for the fees will be applied to a contest during the current season only. All balances must be paid in full or PO issued at least 3 weeks before contest.

Routine Details

Showcase your team’s tradition, spirit, and innovation with the Game Day division. The routine should be entertaining, creative, and unique to your school.

The following elements must be included:

  1. Tradition: A section that highlights your team’s fight song or a similar community tradition.
    Ex: Tradition skills or choreography
  2. Crowd Connection: A section that is spirit raising and encourages audience engagement.
    Ex: Chant, Song, Cheer
  3. Performance: A section that brings the energy for entertainment via jazz, pom, hip hop, kick or any combination of these genres. Both band and popular music are permitted.

** If the number of dancers in your Game Day routine exceeds the threshold for your size classification, the score will not count towards your overall score. **

** A description of the above required elements and the number of PERFORMERS will be required during registration. **

Genre using newer philosophies of movement which depart from classical dance genres without losing the structure, form or technique.

Genre using “street” style movements that evolved from the hip-hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles including breaking, locking and popping.

An upbeat style of dance where the focus is on technical skills.

Varied kick sequences are performed with an emphasis on kick technique and height.

Genre using fluid body movements and control that combines elements of ballet, modern and jazz while incorporating technique.

Genre consisting of strong, sharp, linear movements focused on precision and placement.

A theme is acted out by using dance movements that fit the “character” of the routine.

This is a routine that does not fall into the other categories such as tap, ballet or a routine that is a clear fusion of different dance genres.

Poms used to create a visually effective, high energy routine, where the focus is on precision and placement.

Typically a themed performance utilizing staging, props, and/or back drops that extends longer than the time limit.

Solos: 1.5 – 2 minutes
Duets / Trios / Ensembles: 1.5 – 3 minutes
Officer / Team Routines: 1.5 – 4.5 minutes
Team Production: 9 minutes

Should your entrance, performance and exit exceed your routine time limit, you will automatically be charged an extensive set up fee. ($110)

Pre-purchase your extensive set-up time via your registration account.
($110 for a scheduled 4.5 min)

Dancers are expected to assume their starting positions promptly, this aspect is not formally judged as part of the routine. This includes the adjustment of wings/curtains.

Object(s) used the majority of the time to create an effect in a dance routine.

Typically a themed performance utilizing staging, props, and/or back drops that extends longer than the time limit.

Duets / Trios / Ensembles: 1.5 - 3 minutes
Officer / Team Routines: 1.5 - 4.5 minutes

- Each routine will be evaluated based on the above scoring structure.

- Both the verbal and digital feedback will be genre specific for all officer and team routines.

- For all solos, duets, trios and ensembles, our tabulation system will break ties according the the following tie priority: technique, performance quality, choreography.

- Each routine will receive 3 feedback videos (1 per judge), plus a performance video.

- All placement and adjudication recognition will be based on the routine's cumulative score.
